New Chief Executive for Stòrlann

Stòrlann Nàiseanta na Gàidhlig is delighted to announce the appointment of Johanna Marshall as its new Chief Executive.  Johanna, who joins the Stòrlann team in the coming months, currently works for Comhairle nan Eilean Siar as a Primary School teacher in Airidhantuim.

Originally from Back in the Isle of Lewis, Johanna graduated with a B.Ed with honours from the Northern College, Aberdeen. Through teaching, as both principal and primary teacher, she has worked in Gaelic-medium primary schools in Stirling and the Isle of Lewis. Johanna’s other interests include poetry, short story and children’s literature and she is currently writing two Gaelic books for children.

Murdo MacIver, Chairman of the Board of Stòrlann says, “We are delighted to have secured such a talented individual as our new Chief Executive. Her teaching knowledge will be invaluable as she steers Stòrlann into the future, building on the outstanding work already carried out.”     

Johanna will be based at Stòrlann’s offices in Stornoway, Isle of Lewis.
